This role plays a key part in infrastructure and development design, contributing to projects in sectors like property, transport, and energy, including major waterfront developments, road schemes, rail projects, and renewable energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical aspects of a range of projects, from maintenance to large-scale new developments. In addition, there will be opportunities for involvement in project planning and financial management. Experience - A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant other first degree with a masters. - Be a Chartered Engineer and a member of ICE or CIWEM. - Have worked at Senior or Principal Engineer level, supporting projects with impact for several years at this level. - Currently perform in a role that includes the management of deliverables, client interaction, resource control and quality management. - Have good report writing and communication skills - Experience in applying DMRB, Scottish Water and other national body design standards. - Strong skills in MicroDrainage, Causeway and/or InfoDrainage software; Civils3D; and BIM environment tools. Job Responsibilities Developing or interpreting project programmes and identifying resource needs for tasks. Monitor project delivery risks and seek guidance from senior managers when necessary to ensure successful outcomes. Take responsibility for technical tasks, including design calculations, models, drawings, and reports, while reviewing and delegating work. Interpret the work of other technical teams to understand how it impacts your own. Adhere to established standards and quality processes, leading by example in health and safety practices. Assist in the bidding process and support efforts to win new work, helping to build team capabilities in these areas.
