We have an opportunity for a commercially driven and inspiring Trading Manager to lead our high-performing Revenue Management Team at our Chester Head Office. Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum. Work Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Working Policy : Flexible hybrid-working policy, with a minimum of two days a week from our Chester head office (post probation). About the Role As Trading Manager, you will drive commercial success by optimising revenue performance and ensuring our portfolio achieves its budgeted revenue and contribution targets. Leading a team of skilled Revenue Managers, you will oversee pricing strategies, portfolio optimisation, and market analysis while fostering collaboration across Marketing, Product, Pricing, and Commercial Finance teams to deliver sustainable growth. This role demands a combination of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and strong leadership to achieve impactful results aligned with the business’ growth objectives. Your Responsibilities Revenue and Portfolio Optimisation Deliver budgeted revenue and occupancy targets. Develop and execute pricing strategies to optimise performance. Drive portfolio performance through competitor analysis, promotional strategies, and ancillary revenue optimisation. Identify and implement initiatives to improve long-term performance and growth. Team Leadership and Development Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Revenue Managers to deliver high performance. Build a high-challenge, highly supportive culture that fosters innovation and excellence. Ensure the adoption of best-in-class technology and continuous improvement in revenue management practices. Budgeting and Forecasting Define strategies and deliver forecasts for revenue and occupancy. Guide the Revenue Managers through the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Communicate strategic insights and performance metrics to stakeholders. Trading Leadership Oversee trading performance, identifying trends and opportunities to maximise revenue. Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver tactical trading initiatives, such as innovative payment options, sales promotions, and enhanced ancillary offerings. Serve as the voice of trading performance, providing insights on market trends and demand to influence strategic decisions. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong partnerships with Marketing, Product, Pricing, and Commercial Finance teams. Educate and provide insights on commercial trends to Account Managers to support portfolio performance and retention. Technology and Innovation. Champion the use of advanced revenue management tools and systems. Collaborate with Technology and Product teams to enhance tools that support trading performance. All we ask if you have the following: Proven experience leading a revenue management function, with a track record of delivering results and driving trading performance. Deep understanding of pricing strategies, consumer demand, and price elasticity, ideally within the hospitality or travel industry. Expertise in budgeting and forecasting for multiple revenue streams, with the ability to communicate strategies effectively. Demonstrated success in fostering collaboration across commercial functions. Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen. Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on team development and performance. Analytical mindset, capable of translating complex data into actionable strategies. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Innovative and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Although standouts will also have: Familiarity with revenue management systems and data analysis software. Experience in travel, property management, or the holiday rental industry. Knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, and their integration with revenue management strategies.
