Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a knack for strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management? Our public sector client is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of high-quality materials and services. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record in procurement, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
* Lead and manage the procurement processes for a variety of goods and services.
* Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations, including OJEU regulations.
* Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
* Evaluate bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations and criteria.
* Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
* Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers.
* Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are met and adhered to by both parties.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of procurement activities and transactions.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies within the procurement process.
* Monitor procurement budgets and ensure financial controls are in place.
Key requirements:
* 3 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in public sector procurement.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.. Plus a relevant qualification in public sector procurement.
* In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
