The Team:
The nursing team at the John Morris Diabetes Centre are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that services people from all walks of life living with diabetes in the North and Northeast of Tasmania. You will have the ability to work in a supported environment, where applicants can continue to grow their skills in all of life diabetes management. The Role:
* Practice autonomously with a high level of individual responsibility.
* Apply evidence-based knowledge to the care and education of clients, their families, and the service area.
* Demonstrate advanced and extended practice skills in the assessment, diagnosis, planning, prescribing, and implementation of therapeutic interventions and evaluation of care of clients within their individual scope of Diabetes management.
Details of Appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you until 3 October 2025. Note: hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $144,146 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of the relocation allowance already available.
* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and endorsed to practice as a nurse practitioner.
