Are you interested in a new role in NHS Forth Valley?
NHS Forth Valley is in the central belt of Scotland, easily commutable with good transport links. It has one acute hospital (Forth Valley Royal) and 4 community hospitals. The clinical Dietetic service is delivered across acute and community settings.
The FV Paediatric Dietetic Team is looking to welcome a Registered Dietitian, ideally with some experience in paediatrics. As this is a growing and developing team there are opportunities within various clinical specialities. Telephone enquiries are welcomed to discuss this further.
The Forth Valley Paediatric Dietetic service involves inpatient and outpatient work and the team specialist clinical areas include cystic fibrosis, diabetes, coeliac disease, IBD, renal, enteral feeding and allergy.
FV Paediatric Dietetics offers excellent experience within a small supportive team of band 7, band 6 and band 5 dietitians who are part of a large team of acute and community dietitians. The paediatric service also benefits from the support of band 3 dietetic assistants and clerical assistant.
Some experience in paediatrics is highly desirable along with excellent communication and organisational skills, an ability to deliver high quality education, committed to personal development and be a strong team player.
The paediatric service is based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital but the post-holder may deliver some services from Stirling Community Hospital with the potential for some remote working.
The FV Dietetic Department is a friendly proactive team of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and Administrators. All team members are expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary, provide some cover to the department duty service.
