Job Title: HR AdvisorLocation: Hybrid (with travel to sites as needed)Reports to: People ManagerType: Permanent, Part TimeAbout the Role Our client is looking for a HR Advisor to join their well established team. This is a pivotal role supporting the success of their people practices. As an HR Advisor, you'll lead and support a wide range of HR functions across the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, performance, and training.
Youll be a trusted advisor for managers and staff, ensuring consistent and values-led HR support.Who Youll Work With Youll collaborate closely with:Senior Managers and the Operations TeamFinance, Governance, and staff across all locationsExternally, you'll liaise with:HR consultants, training providers, contractorsLocal authorities and other relevant stakeholdersKey Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and staff, ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policiesLead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction processesManage monthly payroll preparation and ensure accurate data is submittedMaintain and update HR systems and recordsSupport training needs analysis, coordination and deliveryAdvise on employee relations matters, supporting managers through the processMonitor and update HR policies, keeping them aligned with current legislationAct as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and internal communicationsWork with managers on contractual changes, ensuring all documentation and payroll updates are in placeSupport and, where appropriate, lead on HR initiatives and projects aligned with the annual operating planManage HR reporting, including turnover, absence, retention and engagement metricsOrganise internal HR events including staff conferences, internships, and career fairsAssist with internal health & safety coordinationChampion Trees for Life values in all aspects of the roleAbout You Knowledge & QualificationsCIPD qualified or equivalent HR experienceStrong understanding of employment law and HR best practiceProficient in using HR systems and general IT platformsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent organisational and administrative abilitiesStrong communicator and relationship-builder across all levelsConfident advising senior managersDiplomatic, empathetic and trustworthyAnalytical with good attention to detailAble to handle sensitive situations with professionalismSelf-motivated, proactive and able to manage competing prioritiesComfortable presenting and facilitating training sessionsExperiencePrevious experience in a similar HR advisory roleExperience in the third sector or hospitality/retail sector is a plusPractical experience delivering training or workshopsPersonal AttributesRespect for confidentiality and professional boundariesApproachable, tactful and supportiveHonest, reliable and calm under pressureCollaborative, values team success and individual contributionsWorking Environment & Flexibility Hybrid working with occasional travel between sitesFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle requiredComfortable working in open-plan and hot desk environmentsFlexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends when neededWillingness to undertake training and continuous developmentIf you match the above and are interested in discussing in more detail please contact Lyndsey at Global HighlandTPBN1_UKTJ
