About The Role
To support the delivery of transactions, processes and controls of commercial margin supporting the overall strategic objectives. You will deliver finance and business performance ensuring that your thinking is customer first in all aspects of your role; to use the consolidated / centralised accounting across the commercial function to raise questions to commercial category accountants to direct Business partnering support. You will improve processes and outputs through simplifying tasks; ensuring that the output is understood and process is simplified, automated.
* Clear and timely communication of accounting timetables and explanation / resolution of any issues impacting commercial category teams.
* Identify financial risks and opportunities for categories through central management so that teams across commercial finance can respond to them on a timely basis.
* Retain a customer focus through daily routines.
* Develop and maintain relationships with Commercial finance category teams, finance (incl central commercial colleagues and stock) and relevant other internal stakeholders, to understand and meet their needs.
* Contribute to and be the coordinator of identified opportunities to simplify, speed up and do differently within commercial finance.
* Participate in projects based on providing expertise and support for improving business processes and procedures.
* Identify personal and professional opportunities for development.
* Display the Ways of Working.
* Accurate and timely delivery of commercial margin and associated controls on a weekly / periodic basis.
* Perform control requirements around key focus areas impacting the commercial P&L.
* Support in delivery of projects that have an impact on commercial margin.

For this role, we're looking for someone who has:
* An accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
* The confidence & ability to challenge finance stakeholders to deliver the right end-results.
* Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way.
* Resilience and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment.
* Attention to detail skills.
