Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People & Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that administrative processes, including payroll data, employee records, and departmental reporting. Acting as the first point of contact for Payroll queries, you will play a key role in supporting employees and maintaining accurate employee documentation and data.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK regulations.
* Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
* Lead the probationary process including advising managers of when probationary periods are due, collating the completed documentation and sending extension/confirmation letters to employees.
* Manage employment referencing process for new starters and external reference requests by verifying employment details.
* Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, ensuring Right to Work and DBS checks are completed for all new starters.
* Provide note-taking support to line managers conducting employee relations investigations.
* Complete lead on the probationary review process.
* Administer pension and employee benefits programs and ensure timely enrolment and updates.
* Prepare and distribute HR-related reports and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies.
* Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Update our online learning system (SAP Litmos), adding new starters, removing leavers, reporting on training completion and ensuring that training is assigned correctly by person/role/location.
Skills:
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Previous experience in a payroll administration role or similar position.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience of using Moorepay payroll software is advantageous.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
