Basic Qualifications:
1. High School Education or GED equivalent.
2. 3-5 years' precision manufacturing experience.
3. Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain NADCAP certification in accordance to TP-004.
4. Ability and willingness to use hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, calipers, gono-go gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
5. Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
6. Strong mechanical aptitude; performs basic mathematical conversion calculations.
7. Intermediate use of basic computer applications.
8. Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces.
9. This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
1. Participate in and support team initiatives; receive guidance, training, and feedback from employees.
2. Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
3. Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
4. Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new issues and/or processes, etc. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of parts.
5. Select and obtain tool fixtures and programs to anneal and harden a wide variety of metal parts and components.
6. Assemble and braze metal and ceramic parts using a variety of braze alloys.
7. Ability to interpret process sheets/print specifications and apply strict specifications while working closely within close tolerances.
8. Operate and maintain multiple furnaces in accordance with NQWI 4.09.2.16 standards.
9. Enter program data, change over, adjust equipment, vary temperatures, timing, furnace internal atmospheric conditions by introduction or evacuation of gases as specified or directed.
10. Effectively and efficiently produce parts according to certification and quality guidelines.
11. May assist with prototypes or first-time builds.
12. Assist in maintenance and calibration support groups in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
13. Record and log data and verify completeness of documentation to comply with NADCAP requirements.
14. Communicate professionally and effectively with peers, leadership and customers.
15. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
16. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
17. Understand and abide by the GE Leadership behaviors. Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment at all times.
18. Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
2. Experience in a manufacturing environment working with furnaces.
3. Familiarity with 6S & lean manufacturing knowledge.
Compensation:
The pay for this position is $24.70/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 2/14/25.
