Job Overview
This role will be carried out across all trust sites and provide an effective stores and purchasing service to estates operational teams across Basingstoke, Winchester, and Andover (BNHH, RHCH & AWMH).
The post holder will oversee the Engineering stores function, as well as lead on stock and non-stock purchases for a team of estates maintenance staff. This role will be expected to understand engineers' technical sourcing requirements with regards to specification and availability of engineering materials.
This role will provide focus for all procurement activities using Oracle SBS system, operating within Trust Standing Financial Instructions. This position will be expected to deal with matters such as stores/supply chain, supplier engagement, invoice resolution, delivery discrepancies, as well as providing advice to Trade staff and Supervisors relating to material availability.
Main Duties of the Job
* To lead on the procurement of specialist engineering parts and materials - liaising with Trust suppliers - negotiating on price, specification, and availability.
* To manage the Engineering, Building, and Gardening Stores; ensuring stock items are maintained to enable delivery of the service.
* To undertake materials management of estates equipment and materials; providing accurate costs, advice, and details to personnel and Supervisors.
* To raise supply Purchase Orders and be responsible for the timely receipting of orders, invoice resolution, and order/financial discrepancies; working with Trust Finance and Procurement teams to resolve outstanding liabilities.

Person Specification
* Educated to GCSE standard (A-C) or grade 4+ inc. Maths and English.
* Competency in MS Word and Outlook.
* Chartered Institute for Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Foundation course or similar.
* Level 3 Qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or estates trade qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience & Knowledge
* Previous experience of working in an engineering/electrical/building stores or any engineering discipline.
* Knowledge of stores procedures.
* Knowledge of engineering materials.
* Knowledge of Purchasing Methods and principles.
* Experience and Knowledge of using FMFirst (CAFM).
* SBS Oracle Financial software.
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations (2002).
* Awareness of Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations.
Skills & Ability
* Good communication skills (telephone & email).
* Ability to work without supervision.
* Ability to deal with competing demands and prioritise workload.
* Able to handle bulk deliveries and be physically able.
* Tact and persuasive skills with regards to faulty equipment or returns.

* Full UK Driving Licence.
