Regulatory Affairs Manager – Chemical Substances Remote predominantly with occasional office visits (Derby or Dublin) and customer meetings as required. Our client is an established regulatory affairs consultancy specialising in chemical substances, offering regulatory assistance to suppliers of industrial chemicals worldwide. The business assists its customers in obtaining relevant regulatory approval for the supply of chemical products into the marketplace. The role: We are seeking a leader and client focused technical expert in chemical substance regulatory compliance, primarily REACH (including dossier production and submissions) and CLP (classification, labelling and packaging). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge impact on this established consultancy in guiding and developing a small team while ensuring client projects are delivered on time and with the highest levels of service through direct customer relationships. Key elements of the role will include: Client relationship and contract management – ensuring robust client relationships and maintained, regulatory compliance and projects are delivered in a timely and effective manner and client service levels and SLA’s are adhered to. Key contribution to client account development both existing and new. Team Management – leading, coaching, and supporting a small team of regulatory experts. Communicating client requirements through the team and ensuring the collective team delivery of customer requirements. Technical Delivery – Assisting and leading in the REACH dossier authoring and registration related works and assisting with Chemical Safety Assessments and preparation of Chemical Safety Reports for client assignments. Key candidate requirements include: A minimum of a degree in a scientific subject is essential, with a preference for chemistry A strong understanding of chemical substance regulatory requirements, including demonstrable experience working with REACH regulations Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a genuine desire to assist and support Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect with clients at all levels and build strong rapport Prior experience in a compliance-related role within a relatable industry A Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor certification would be advantagous
