HEAD OF COMPLIANCE – EXPERIENCE OF ANTI BRIBERY & CORRUPTION AND GDPR REQUIRED

Our client, a leading industrial services group, is recruiting their first Compliance Officer to be a key member of the internal legal department, providing compliance and regulatory support to the activities of the whole group. Reporting to the UK Head of Legal (& also to the overseas Group Head of Compliance) in a fascinating & varied role, duties will include:
* Manage and respond to data subject access requests, support the business in relation to legitimate interest/data protection impact assessments and manage & update privacy notices across all businesses and all changes in processing.
* Updating and maintaining all policies in respect of ABC, Code of Conduct and business ethics as well as developing a suite of guidance notes.
* Finalising the Modern Slavery report and support on modern slavery assessments & responsible sourcing.
* Develop firms first policies & procedure on use of AI and Governance around such.
* Supporting the creation, development, review and implementation of legal compliance policies and procedures including Code of Conduct, Gifts & Hospitality, Reporting, Corporate Governance Concerns and Data Protection.
* Develop suite of training slides for deployment on ABC, Code of Conduct & Modern Slavery including refresher updates and deliver face to face training as required by the business.
* Undertaking internal audits & monitoring of compliance processes.
* Dealing with whistleblowing reports when appointed, producing the investigation plan, conducting the investigation and interviewing witnesses.
You should have at least five years experience in Compliance (from any sector whether Commercial, Financial Services, Industrial etc) used to analysing & interpreting regulatory requirements, designing & enhancing procedures & controls around such, carrying out audits or monitoring visits/reviews and ideally delivering training. This should have included Anti Bribery & Corruption and GDPR while knowledge of Modern Slavery Requirements (& basic AML though limited exposure given nature of business) is also useful.
Although fully home based, the company has sites across the UK so there will be some very occasional travel to carry out audit visits (by arrangement to suit) whilst benefits include 5w holidays with option to buy more.
