The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a part time Clinical Secretary based within University Hospital Hairmyres. The Clinical Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently and will work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
What we'll need you to bring
* SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
* Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational skills
* Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
* Audio typing skills

Please note: this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Surgical & Critical Care within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern for this role: Mon - Fri 9am-1pm
