We are currently recruiting for an Area Service Manager for our Mole and Wey Wastewater Treatment Team.
This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to be a key part of our wastewater treatment business. You will lead a team that will provide specialist technical support to Performance Managers across an area, with a particular technical specialism in maintenance.
This role will be critical in helping to ensure that the agreed compliance and service levels are achieved both now and in the future, and enable us to drive strategic change in maintenance.

What you’ll be doing as an Area Services Manager
* Managing the budget for our Minor Capital Works and Group Capex spends to improve asset availability and asset resilience while taking a lead on any assets that are out of service to ensure they are returned to supply promptly.
* Optimisation of Maintenance Delivery Plan you will look to continuously improve Device Compliance, PPM completion, WRaP Score and Lone Working Directive compliance.
* Site Improvements Working closely with the Operational Impact Liaison and Area Treatment Manager, you will define and implement strategic solutions that improve the Mole & Wey Area as a whole – be that facilities, odour management, Teams Skill Register and more.
* Technical advice and support: You will mobilise your technical understanding of the waste-water treatment process and plant to provide tactical and strategic operational advice.
* Driving a proactive and engaged Safety Culture by promoting a conversational and communicative safety culture with a ‘Zero Compromise’ approach. This will include data analysis, devising of Safe Systems of Work and leadership on Safety Stand-downs.
* Ad Hoc Technical Assistance Including Devising Safe Systems of Work and liaising with contractors.
* Working hours: Monday-Friday 36 hours per week.
What you should bring to the role?
* BTEC / NVQ L3 or equivalent Mechanical / Electrical or Mechanical or ICA.
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and application – NEBOSH or IOSH qualification desirable.
* Strong IT skills (especially Excel).
* Strong background in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance including planned and preventative maintenance.
* Experience in budget management is essential.
* Skilled in engaging and leading a team, with proven experience in coaching and developing individuals.
* Ideally been a technical mentor to apprentices in the past.
