Amazon is looking for an individual to bring their experience, talent and curiosity to join the EU Prime Finance team. As a Finance Manager, you will be part of the team that drives the growth of the Prime program and Prime benefits in the EU. You will achieve this through collaborating and influencing senior business and finance leaders across the EU and in the US and translate insights into strategic initiatives to add value to all our customers.
Key job responsibilities
1. Support monthly and quarterly business reviews, business and financial forecasting and planning, working closely with EU and US Prime leaders.
2. Generate actionable insights and translate them into strategic initiatives.
3. Design a plan to improve, automate and simplify financial planning and appraisal processes.
4. Create the plan to grow prime in emerging marketplaces.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
