Site Manager - Modular Construction (UK) - Contract with Potential to Extend
A leading company specialising in high-quality modular buildings is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee projects across the UK. Our work spans a variety of sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, and leisure, with a focus on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions.
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion. This dynamic role involves:
* Leading Subcontractors: Directing and coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to stringent health & safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
* Progress Monitoring: Tracking project progress, managing timelines, and addressing any issues to keep projects on track.
* Quality Control: Overseeing quality assurance processes, ensuring that work meets the company's high standards and client specifications.
* Client Liaison: Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure clear communication and project success.
Given the nature of the role, flexibility in travel is required to manage multiple projects across various locations in the UK, including key sites in commercial, educational, healthcare, and leisure sectors. You may be required to travel between project locations, adapting to the demands of each site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure safe working practices.
* Coordinate subcontractors, monitor project progress, and manage schedules.
* Implement quality assurance, handle snagging, and ensure compliance with environmental policies.
* Lead site meetings, ensuring timely project execution and clear communication across teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in modular construction.
* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate required (NVQ Level 6 preferred).
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on safety and quality.
