We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. In this role, you will provide healthcare and maintenance support to all Key Hydro sites around Scotland. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical support and service to clients including managing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical incidents both remotely and on-site, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of client systems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to prepare and review technical documentation, provide technical leadership during commissioning and testing phases, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Salary: Up to £55,000, depending upon skills and experience. You will: Handle and respond to client incidents via call and to attempt to troubleshoot and resolve over the phone Be able to respond to a client incident by traveling to site at short notice and attempting resolve the incident Liaise with Clients to arrange planned trips and organise their specific requirements Align with customers for the planned health check visits and carry out any required maintenance activities off the back of the visit Create site reports for any vulnerabilities, provide gap analysis Generate and manage obsolescence within the client sites Develop and maintain a functional asset management framework for all sites inclusive of software and hardware. Prepare, maintain and review comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, operator manuals and quality documentation. Drive technical discussions with the project teams and identify and resolve technical issues. Support and lead commissioning at client sites. Select suitable components and specify procurement activities as required. Be actively involved in the testing and troubleshooting of bespoke systems. Encourage and champion changes and improvements as opportunities arise. Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Communicate with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, ensuring their satisfaction with the delivered system. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery. Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols. Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post. We are looking for: Experience and Knowledge A minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems engineering. Specific working knowledge and experience on AB PLCs Experience in the application of systems engineering principles and methodologies. Familiarity and experience in the application of system integration processes, tools and technologies. Experience of software development/hardware integration. Experience working on client sites Skills and Abilities Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
