We are now seeking Hygiene Team members to join our growing team at our site in the countryside just outside Comber, Co. Down.
Leading by example and helping your team to perform all jobs in your department to a high standard.
What you will be doing:
1. Please note that the role will be on a night shift for the first 2 weeks to train with the existing Hygiene team.
2. Reporting to the Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll implement the cleaning and hygiene work on-site in compliance with all health, safety, and food safety standards in the food industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out hygiene tasks and cleaning procedures.
2. Ensuring all food safety and legal standards are met in your hygiene work.
3. Carrying out cleaning processes and stock control of hygiene consumable chemicals, mentoring staff, and promoting a continuous improvement culture while ensuring customer codes of practice are adhered to.
4. Monitoring and improving hygiene standards.
The Person:
1. We are looking for a hygiene and/or food professional with previous experience of working in a high-care food manufacturing environment and a proven track record of maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
2. A knowledge of food hygiene and safety, including HACCP, listeria, and microbiology, is important.
3. Chemical awareness, including COSHH.
4. Following and helping others follow Housekeeping, Health and Safety guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (How We Do Things Around Here & Company Rules).
