Job summary We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team on the Stroke Unit. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work towards completion of all competencies relevant to the role. Main duties of the job The primary role will be to support the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the provision of timely assessment and rehabilitation of patients admitted to the stroke unit. The role incorporates administrative duties, as well as clinical work, carrying out treatment programmes planned by the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. You will work closely with the therapist and wider MDT where prioritisation skills and effective time management will be essential. You will need to have the ability to therapeutically move patients.
