We're looking for a Materials/Metallurgist Engineer to provide support to our clients' national and global facilities. Working at this global OEM, every day presents a new challenge where you will investigate a wide range of different materials that are used in multiple applications.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing, ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
2. Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
3. Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
4. Monitoring results, machine, and process capabilities and performance reliability.
This will mean that you need:
1. Materials Science/Metallurgy degree and/or substantive practical working experience within a materials laboratory environment.
2. Metallurgical/materials evaluation of new products, processes, and/or systems.
3. Providing technical guidance on product and process maintenance.
4. Ability to identify metallurgical/materials manufacturing defects and make process improvement recommendations.
