About the Role
To provide a professional and effective delivery service, including collecting goods from the depot, ensuring that goods are handled appropriately limiting the risk of damage. The distribution of goods to the correct location as per the delivery schedule in a timely manner is of paramount importance.
Here’s What You Can Expect to Be Doing
1. To drive HGV vehicles as per the company policy and according to current legislation.
2. To effectively load goods onto the vehicle according to pre-determined schedule.
3. To deliver products to customers in good condition.
4. To bring all returns and completed documentation back to the depot at the end of each journey, submitting documentation according to company procedure.
5. To maintain and update legal tachographs.
6. Manual handling of goods will be required.
A Few Things About You
1. A Full HGV UK drivers’ licence is required. (A licence check will be carried out)
2. HGV driver CPC qualification is required.
3. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated.
4. Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others whilst maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.
5. Adopts a positive ‘can do’ attitude to challenging situations.
6. Is trustworthy, reliable and able to work on your own initiative, to pre-determined schedules with little supervision whilst away from site.
7. Demonstrate good time management.
8. Have a flexible approach to working hours.
9. English written and verbal communication skills.
