About this opportunity
Do you enjoy fast paced and dynamic work? Come and join our Screening and Assessment Team! The role involves screening, triaging and prioritising referrals received into the service. Some of these will require an immediate Occupational Therapy response which you will deliver.
The role involves supporting adults aged 18+ living in the community with care and support needs, this includes supporting their informal and formal carers as necessary. You will collaborate with a diverse range of health, social care, and third-sector organisations across the Cumberland Council footprint.
You will be responsible for completing holistic assessments, support planning and reviews in accordance with the Care Act, taking a strengths-based approach that promotes individuals’ independence and wellbeing.

Conducting Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks is integral to our commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for our staff and the communities we serve. These checks play a crucial role in safeguarding, ensuring that individuals with appropriate qualifications and character are entrusted with roles where they may have access to children and vulnerable people.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Adults Barred List check.
