Job Title: Shift Manager

Salary: £45,000
About Our Client:
Our client is a leading manufacturing and production company based in West Yorkshire. They are known for their commitment to quality and innovation in the industry. With a strong focus on employee engagement and continuous improvement, they are seeking a highly motivated Shift Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
1. Safety:
o Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
o Conduct regular safety meetings with the team
o Support the development and improvement of safe working practices
o Investigate accidents and take appropriate actions
2. People:
o Train and develop the team to enhance their skills and capabilities
o Manage staffing and recruitment needs
o Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues
o Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement
3. Quality:
o Ensure adherence to quality systems and standards
o Conduct regular audits to maintain a high level of quality control
o Investigate quality issues and implement preventive measures
o Participate in ISO and ethical audits
4. Production:
o Monitor production targets and drive efficiency
o Collaborate with other departments to deliver high-quality products
o Reduce waste and improve equipment downtime
o Track and analyse performance data
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Experience managing a large team in a manufacturing environment
* Qualification or experience in team leadership or management
* Excellent knowledge of safety procedures
* Proficiency in ERP systems
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work strategically and reactively
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* IOSH 'Managing Safely' qualification
* Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
