Taunton School seeks to appoint a well-qualified, inspiring and enthusiastic Director of Digital Education to further develop the ongoing digital education strategy across its family of schools, and to lead the vibrant Computer Science & ICT Department in the senior school, from September 2025.
As the Director of Digital Education, you will strengthen, and continually monitor the effectiveness of the School’s ongoing digital education strategy through effective collaboration with other academic leads, staff, students and parents. You will provide training to students, staff and parents as required and will report on the impact of the strategy to academic leads, the Headmaster and the governing body. This is a truly whole-school strategic role, encompassing Taunton Pre-Prep School, Taunton Prep School, Taunton School and Taunton School International.
As the Head of Computer Science & ICT in the Senior School, you will lead the department through effective planning, communication, resource management and organising of the curriculum to further enhance its reputation, results and student uptake. In addition to promoting enthusiasm for all things relating to Computer Science and ICT around the School, you will be expected to provide stimulating, well-planned lessons and to deliver an exceptional educational experience. You will also be expected to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School.
As the leading subject professional, combining expertise and energy with a clear vision and first-rate communication and administrative skills, you will motivate and equip students, staff and parents to enhance teaching and learning through the effective use of digital technologies across the family of schools.
