Join Our Team as an Assistant Accountant. Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career with a dynamic organisation? We are working with a pioneering manufacturer, on the lookout for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis for 12 months, with the potential for a permanent position. Hybrid - 3 days on site The Role: As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in our finance department, overseeing both accounts receivable and payable functions, as well as supporting month-end activities. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable Ledger: - Conduct customer credit checks and set up/amend credit lines.- Manage Direct Debit collections and ensure seamless order processing.- Raise dealer invoices and credits while resolving any shipment or invoicing issues.- Chase all aged debts and provide commentary on collections. Accounts Payable Ledger: - Reconcile supplier accounts and manage payment allocations.- Handle supplier queries and set up new supplier accounts. Inventory Management: - Organise quarterly in-house stock counts and reconcile variances. Month-End Support: - Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts, VAT returns, and Intrastat Returns.- Support the Financial Controller with audits, budgets, and forecasts. Health & Safety Management: - Contribute to maintaining health and safety standards within the organisation. What We're Looking For: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial role. Part-qualified Accountant, or qualified by experience. Proficiency in Advanced Excel is essential. Strong analytical skills and excellent customer service attitude.
