Finance Assistant Location: Hybrid (Office located in Leamington Spa) Contract Type: 9-month fixed term contract (with possible extension or permanent conversion) Reports to: Finance Manager We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our client. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working within a small, friendly and supportive team. Day-to-day of the role: Sales Ledger/Credit Control: Assist with the investigation of invoice queries, working directly with councils and internal staff. Support debt collection activities and manage the aged debt report. Payroll: Address payroll queries and assist in preparing payroll data submissions to an outsourced provider. Perform weekly and month-end payroll checks and ensure accurate data submission from branches. Complete new starter forms and conduct regular sales ledger reconciliations. Purchase Ledger: Upload invoices and assist with payment queries. Manage and organise actions from the Finance Inbox. Assist with other projects as required by the Finance Manager or CFO. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a finance environment is essential. Proficiency in basic Excel; knowledge of Xero is advantageous but not essential. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
