About the Role
To drive functional safety, environmental and operational improvements throughout the Specialist Technology (HIP Europe) facilities with a strong focus on HIP equipment and how it is operated. To implement & develop systems for equipment data gathering, analysis and reporting – using the data to support performance improvement.
Location: Flexible, you can be based in the UK or EU (must be within commuting distance of an airport).

Key Responsibilities
* Introduce engineering initiatives to drive compliance towards world class for Environment and Health & Safety standards with support from HIP EHS management.
* Identifying risks to safe, repeatable & reliable equipment operation and driving associated improvements & hazards reduction using techniques such as FMEA, HAZOP etc.
* Implementing best practice systems for measuring overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), monitoring performance and acting upon it.
* Implement improvement of HIP vessels, supporting equipment and processes, managing small to medium upgrade projects and actions to closure.
* Implementing condition monitoring and ensuring data is used to reduce down-time & unplanned disruption, executing specific improvements as necessary.
* Using systems & data to monitor energy & gas usage, co-ordinating improvements towards environmental targets.
* Develop and implement systems for sharing best engineering practices in health and safety, environmental and operational control of equipment.
What We’re Looking For
* BEng degree or equivalent/similar and ‘hands-on’ aptitude.
* Data analysis, problem solving & identifying/implementing solutions.
* Knowledge & experience of Industry 4.0 a distinct advantage.
* Control systems & industrial processing experience is ideal but not essential.
* Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including MS Project, Excel competency.
* Good team player with collaborative attitude and a flexible approach with a strong & passionate drive for results.
* Self-motivated, organised and able to work under pressure.
Nice to Have:
* Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher).
* Experience with control systems and industrial processing.
* Multilingual skills (German/French/Swedish/Dutch an advantage).
