Job Details
Position: Site Engineers, Groundworks
Salary: £270 - £320 per shift negotiable; self-employed or PAYE £45 - £55,000 plus van
Location: Chelmsford
Responsibilities:
* 3-4 years minimum experience working for a reputable Groundworks contractor.
* Good level of communication skills.
* Setting out all works and staying ahead of the workforce in their requirements.
* Able to obtain drawings and notify any changes.
* Request RFIs and maintain tracking system to manage responses and close outs.
* Ensure all temporary works designs are in place.
* Ensure all work is undertaken to the current drawings and specifications.
* Ensure setting out is undertaken in accordance with the method statement and risk assessment.
* Help with quality assurance (QA) checks, reports and files.
* Help to coordinate engineering resources to carry out and gather as-built information.
* Close out defects in a timely fashion.
* Proficient in using AutoCAD, Asta programming (optional), N4ce Ground modelling (optional).
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
* Read and understand the Health and Safety policy and procedures and carry out work in accordance with its requirements.
* Work in accordance with the Quality and Environmental procedures and ensure relevant forms are completed.
* Liaise with the site manager and report any health and safety non-compliance.
* Attend prescribed health and safety training programmes.
* Promote safe systems of work.
* Set a personal example by wearing appropriate PPE.
Additional Requirements:
* You should live in Essex or surrounding areas to minimise travel.
