Purpose:
Altrad are currently expanding due to a number of project successes within our Major projects business. To support this growth we are looking to recruit an onshore Construction Manager with demonstrable experience in Execution, FEED and EPC / EPcm projects.
The opportunity will develop, apply and maintain construction best practices methodologies and standards, developing innovative and sustainable business solutions while providing scope definition, management and execution of major construction subcontracts.
Your experience will have lead you to be skilled in developing and deploying continual improvement, construction policies in strategies, able to provide visible, effective leadership and efficient cost effective management of construction resources and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
The appointed Construction Manager will provide expert input to project execution plans, pre quals, proposals, project execution plans and constructability reviews whilst developing and deploying the best construction practices, policies, procedures that support and add value to our business.
You will also:
* Effectively manage and lead subordinate functional personnel.
* Develop innovative and sustainable construction business solutions.
* Identify training and development needs of subordinate personnel.
* Maintain adequate function resources to support the business.
* Establish and maintain construction KPI’s.
* Promote integrated, seamless and lifestyle approach to contract execution.
* Monitor, analyse and report construction performance.
* Participate in annual reviews of Business Management Process Performance.
* Achievement of function tasks and targets.
* Regular and effective communications with global regions, business areas, sites and other departments / functions on construction issues.
Key Requirements:
* HNC in Construction / Engineering
* Degree or equivalent in Construction Management
* Extensive construction management experience in highly regulated industries
* Knowledge and understanding of national and international construction codes and standards
* Front End Engineering Design (FEED) experience in an onshore environment
* HAZCOM experience
* Experience training and developing functional personnel
* Experience working in the Home Office and at site
* Corporate member of relevant professional institution ie Engineering Council (UK) or Registered Engineer (IEng or CEng)
