Interim Finance Manager opportunity with a highly successful organisation based in Glasgow for an initial 12-month period with likelihood of becoming permanent.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing annual budget and forecast updates for discussion with the Head of Finance
* Preparing annual accounts and audit liaison
* Producing timely monthly management accounts, financial dashboards, and management information, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecast and analysis of variations to budget
* Supporting budget holders with information to enable them to manage and monitor their budgets in accordance with policies and procedures
* Leading, managing and developing the Finance Team of 3 direct line reports, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively and deliver strategic support, initiatives and projects
* Supporting the Head of Finance in the development of the financial strategy, building and maintaining effective long-term financial models through detailed scenario planning and analysis
* Managing all aspects of cashflow including the operation and reconciliation of bank accounts and payment processes, identifying risks/opportunities and necessary actions
* Completing VAT and tax returns
* Overseeing credit control, accounts payable and payroll and pensions functions
The Individual:
* Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA), or qualified by experience
* Strong IT skills, specifically in Excel with evidence of using Excel formulae to transform data
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to influence non-finance managers
