We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who wishes to lead and develop a branch within Springfield Veterinary Group, to join us as Head Nurse. You will be working in collaboration with our head nurse at our Crystal Peaks site.
We are on the outskirts of Sheffield with a team of 5 RVN's, 3 SVN's and 2 PCA's across both sites. We have most of the modern equipment and just got equipment to do Laparoscopic spays and dental x-rays. We actively encourage developing your passions with funded CPD and certificates and have nurses working towards behaviour, exotics, physiotherapy and feline nursing accreditations, alongside vets completing ophthalmology, surgical and dermatology. Many aspects of nursing can be experienced at our practice which is located just 4 miles from Sheffield City Centre as well as having access to our 24-hour hospital in Rotherham.
Our practice has 3 generously sized consult rooms, cat and dog waiting rooms, cat and dog kennels, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, separate theatre prep and theatre suite and a dedicated recently refurbished dental room. This site has a lot of scope for the right RVN to expand and shape it, with the full support of the management team.
Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a team player, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and confident in all areas of general small animal nursing.
This position is for our Hackenthorpe branch, but also to assist the Head Nurse of Crystal Peaks. Head nurse and nursing duties will be a 50/50 split.
