Description You will undertake development work including the investigation of opportunities to promote the use of land, in line with Council objectives. You will have an emphasis on a commercial return and providing a cost effective, professional development management service to the council whilst achieving best value on all property transactions. You will manage a range of development projects and provide advice on promotion opportunities, new acquisitions and disposals to support the development programme. Youi will assist the process of appointing of consultants working with the procurement team to progress and implement property development proposals. You will negotiate commercial terms relating to new disposals, acquisitions and other development related agreements. You will manage and influence stakeholders including community groups in the progression of projects You will be responsible for reporting and managing capital expenditure in delivering development projects in accordance with the council's objectives Profile You will have significant operational experience within a large organisation, delivering similar services. You will hold a relevant professional qualification or will have equivalent relevant professional experience. You will be able to build positive relationships with Council-wide contacts and partner organisations. You will have experience of managing and motivating staff to achieve organisational objectives. You will be able to oversee projects and work programmes.
