About the Role
The Asset Support and Outage Excellence Team UK plays a key role in supporting the delivery of projects, outages, and maintenance activities across Uniper's UK and Swedish assets. This high-profile role is crucial in ensuring security of supply and supporting Uniper's strategy to accelerate the energy transition. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to fulfill a discipline-specific role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of technologies on established, newer power plants, and gas storage facilities, offering substantial development and experience across power generation and storage stations.

Your Responsibilities
* Bring a flexible, enthusiastic approach, demonstrating ownership and self-motivation across UK and Swedish assets.
* Apply extensive knowledge in mechanical engineering and maintenance to maximize resource utilization and asset availability.
* Maintain a strong commitment to HSSE and Quality standards.
* Deliver projects and outages, manage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with process and regulatory standards.
* Conduct fault finding, problem solving, and investigations across process systems.
* Lead project teams and contractors as needed.
* Share best practices and benchmark performance across sites.
* Define scopes of work and develop technical and contractual specifications.
* Ensure quality assurance and control in contractor activities.
* Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, and quality improvement.
Your Profile
Essential: Higher National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, experience with process plant mechanical systems, understanding of regulations, root cause analysis skills, project management knowledge, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, full UK driving license.
Desirable: Experience with lean tools, SAP systems, and working in fast-paced environments.
