English Teacher - Milton Keynes, UK
Quantum Scholars, in collaboration with a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes, is excited to offer an opportunity for an English Teacher to join their school on a long-term contract, starting after Easter. The role comes with the potential to transition into a permanent position through the school, providing long-term career stability.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a right to work in the UK and significant experience teaching English Language and Literature to ages 11-16 years old.
The school has a welcoming and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to excel both academically and personally. They are an improving school with "Good" ratings for leadership and management and personal development. They have a sixth form which is also rated "Good" by Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students across a variety of year groups.
2. Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of students at different academic levels.
3. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
5. Work closely with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
6. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related subject.
2. Proven experience in teaching English at secondary school level.
3. A passion for helping students reach their full potential.
4. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and disciplined environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
6. A commitment to continuous professional development.
