The People function are looking for an experienced operational People/HR Manager/Business Partner for a 12-month fixed term period to cover maternity leave.

This means you will work with identified Business Unit teams building strong relationships with managers and staff at all levels to support delivery of safe and high-quality patient care and workforce management support.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with significant experience of working in an operational HR capacity supporting on a full range of HR issues and managing a team. Medical staffing experience would be highly desirable. You will have the interpersonal skills to build credible relationships with managers, staff, clinicians and staff side colleagues and show you can influence at a senior level to make effective decisions. The role involves leading Trust-wide project work so you must be able to demonstrate your experience in this area.
Job responsibilities
* Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
* Highly developed specialist knowledge of employment legislation, good People/HR practice and policies and procedures gained via substantial previous experience of working in a People/HR environment.
* A sound knowledge of staff management techniques in order to manage own staff and be able to advise managers to address their own issues.

* Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
* Highly developed specialist knowledge of employment legislation, good People/HR practice and policies and procedures gained via substantial previous experience of working in a People/HR environment.
* A sound knowledge of staff management techniques in order to manage own staff and be able to advise managers to address their own issues.
* Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools.
* Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods.
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships at all levels within the Business unit/subsidiary
* The ability to deliver an innovative and forward thinking People/HR Strategy to support the delivery of Business unit/subsidiary plans
* Ability to schedule and organize own time and work autonomously
* Well-developed keyboard and computer skills are required.
* Must be able to demonstrate the English language proficiency level required for this post
