We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering results to join the Capital Delivery (Storage) Team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for safely delivering non-infrastructure civil projects ranging from £100k to £13m. Your strong personal skills will help you build trusting relationships with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met with the highest quality, within timescales, and for the right costs.
You will lead projects teams with passion, delivering change that benefits our customers. Decisions you make will help us do the right things for the communities we serve. By managing you own time, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to set and achieve deadlines and delivery targets. You will use your initiative to deliver value for customers and balance costs, risks, and performance. With energy and focus you will ensure the successful delivery of our AMP7 commitments and ensure readiness of our AMP8 enhanced schemes.
You will be based at our Head office in Hatfield but will also be travelling throughout our company area stretching from Dover in the south to Clacton in the east, as well as our home county regions in and around London.
Essential Qualifications and experience required
1. Minimum of 3 years’ managing construction projects and suppliers
2. Experience in administering New Engineering Contracts (NEC)
3. Experience in commercial management
4. Experience in applying the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
5. Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
6. Full UK drivers’ licence
7. APM Project Fundamentals Qualification or equivalent
8. Knowledge and understanding of project management principles and processes
9. Capable of building trusting & lasting stakeholder relationships
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software
