About the role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to join the Barbican Centre’s and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s IT department. You will be working on our busy IT helpdesk, supporting our staff in the use of desktop operating systems, office applications, business systems, desktop hardware and telecoms devices. You’ll need to have excellent customer service and communication skills in order to successfully manage helpdesk calls, with the ability to prioritise tasks whilst working under pressure.
With your substantial experience of providing desktop support in a busy environment, you will have a high degree of proficiency with Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365 and the Microsoft Office Suite. The successful applicant will also need to have a good understanding of ITIL principles and be able to demonstrate experience in maintaining IT databases and procedural documentation to a high degree.
You will work with other IT Support colleagues to ensure that an excellent IT support service is provided; therefore, you will be happy to deal with a range of tasks and have the ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative.
This role works Monday to Friday with core hours of 9.15AM – 5PM and you will eventually join our rotation of staff who cover one weekend every four weeks. Occasional work out of standard hours may be required due to planned improvements and emergencies that may occur.
