Position Summary:
Provide labor support for Manual Insert loading, Manual tool insert molding, and secondary operations such as Ultrasonic Welding, special packing, and hole drilling.
This person must exhibit enough flexibility to respond to the needs of the management team that fall within his or her capability.
Primary Tasks:
1. Efficiently load inserts and remove finished parts from the molding machine and/or secondary operations fixture.
2. Maintain a steady pace to minimize the variability of the total process cycle.
3. Visually inspect each part for gross quality issues such as damage, short-shots, and contamination.
4. Handle finished products carefully to prevent post-molding damage.
5. Maintain an inventory of inserts/components at the molding and/or assembly stations.
Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
Light to Medium work: Lifting up to 20 pounds and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
Visual Acuity Requirements:
Visually detect gross quality issues at 12” – 18” away.
Work Environment:
The worker is subject to inside climate-controlled conditions and various hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working while standing on stairs, exposure to high heat, chemicals, and working in slippery or wet conditions.
