Position: Building Facilities Assistant (15/17097)

Salary: £20,272.50 - £20,615

We will train you to be part of our dynamic and reactive customer-facing building facilities team to provide essential janitorial and cleaning tasks in our local buildings.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Lead Occupier in undertaking daily safety checks.
2. Perform general cleaning tasks.
3. Support energy efficiency and usage throughout the premises.
4. Recognise your duty to client liaison.
5. Provide high-quality support service of building facilities and cleaning services.
You are required to be flexible and highly motivated, approachable while working in a proactive, organised, and methodical manner.
We will provide you with training in iPad/Microsoft Apps, cleaning tasks, use of equipment and chemicals, and general health and safety.
Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Monday - Friday: 1.00pm to 7.00pm.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
Good communication skills are essential.
