Accounts Analyst My client are looking for an Accounts Analyst to join them on a temporary basis for approx 1-3 months, the successful candidate will have experience with FP&A software(SAP), advanced Excel skills and be familiar with Sage Job Role Summary: The Accounts Analyst’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, supporting accounts payables and receivables, supporting budgeting, forecasting, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring smooth operations of the financial department. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment • Perform monthly reconciliations • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date • Prepare analysis of accounts, as required • Assist with month end closing • Provide supporting documentation for audits • Manage and track financial transactions and create financial reports • Analyse and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance • Work closely with the financial team to assist in budgeting and forecasting • Analyse financial data and create reports for management • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements • Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyse fluctuations • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis • Research and resolve accounting issues including invoice discrepancies and other issues • Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options • Comply with financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions • Protect organisation’s value by keeping information confidential JOB DESCRIPTION • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organisations. Experience and Knowledge Requirements • Proven work experience as an Accounts Analyst or similar role in the financial sector • Excellent understanding of accounting principles • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office • Experience with budgeting and forecasting • Ability to handle large amounts of data • Exceptional attention to detail • Strong mathematical and analytical skills Skills and Competency Requirements: • Expert to use FP&A software (especially SAP), and familiar to SAGE and Visibility will be a plus. • Has advanced Excel skills. VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Macros, PowerPoint • Understands financial reporting and has strong analytical skills. • Communicates effectively and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels. • Manages direct reports and leads a financial team. • Excels at multi-tasking, organisation, and time management. • Having the multi-cultural work experiences in the international company and coordination and cooperation experiences with financial share-service centre will be a big plus. Qualifications: • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA. • Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and Chartered Financial Analysts (CFAs) are preferred.
