Our Physiotherapy Service works with a multidisciplinary team of Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Dietitians, Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists to manage the care of our patients. Perform advanced specialist physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse medical, neurological and musculoskeletal presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. Educate and train Physiotherapy colleagues, students and the MDT regarding the paediatric specialist area of Physiotherapy. Supervise, educate and assess the performance of Physiotherapy students. Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice. Communicate effectively with the patients, relatives, other Physiotherapists and the MDT to ensure a high standard of patient care and service provision. Be actively involved in the development of the team and physiotherapy service as a whole. Undertake management roles including coordinating workloads, assisting with delivery of the Departmental respiratory competencies programme, delegating duties, appraising and mentoring staff and recruitment and selection.
