Robert Half are working with a leading energy business based in Kent, to recruit a Management Accountant for a 12-month maternity cover paying between £250-325/day inside IR35 (depending on experience). This role will be based on site 3 days per week at the site in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The Role
As the Management Accountant, you would be supporting with:
1. Manage the financial PO reporting, accruals, and reconciliations for the purchasing process.
2. Prepare and process month end journals.
3. Balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Month end variance analysis and other month end reports.
5. Review VAT return.
6. Foreign currency transactions.
7. Review Inventory transaction analysis and processes.
8. Stock take and a close collaboration with stores staff including reconciliations.
9. Fixed asset register & depreciation maintenance.
10. All month end duties up to and including the first draft of the variance analysis and cashflow.
11. Month end review with Assistant Financial Controller, Financial Controller ,Plant Manager and FP&A manager.
12. Business partnering the managers and departments on site to support adherence to full financial controls.
Your Profile
13. Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in an end to end accountant role
14. Able to travel to the Sittingbourne site 3 days per week
15. Prior experience in a similar interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
As well as a salary of between £250-325/day inside IR35 (dependant on experience) the business offers hybrid working (3 days per week in the office) from their Kent office.
