The Role: The role is to assist the Manager and Assistant Manager in all aspects of the site operations and comply with company policy and procedures. Line Supervisors/Site Operatives will report into you and the main purpose of the role is to assist the management team in ensuring the site is compliant with all Management Systems, Permit & Planning, and Environmental permissions. This includes assisting in plant maintenance, quality control, contractor control, and overseeing the operation of all processes. The Responsibilities: Set a good example with regards to Health, Safety, and Welfare, the Environment, and Quality. Understand Site Emergency Procedures. Report accidents, safety concerns, near misses, damage, environmental and quality incidents. Assist in closing internal and external inspection/audit findings. Understand responsibilities under HASWA. Operational Duties: Identify causes of downtime and work on solutions. Ensure correct completion of all required paperwork. Assist with compliance to Management Systems, Site Permit conditions, and planning permissions. Minimize environmental risk on site. Conduct regular quality inspections and address quality issues. Ensure team adherence to site-specific RAMS and COSHH assessments. Monitor and enforce company standards for PPE, timekeeping, attendance, maintenance, guarding, isolation, etc. Spread best practices on-site and other sites. Assist in coordinating plant maintenance and production requirements. Monitor site efficiency to maximize recovery and minimize downtime. Identify and solve problem areas. Enforce high housekeeping standards. Optimize loading equipment efficiency. Identify and report problems with grades. Assist in delivering internal training. Training and Appraisals: Attend company-arranged training courses. Participate in site Toolbox Talks (TBT). Deliver TBT to operatives as necessary. Fork Lift Truck H&S Qualification i.e. IOSH Managing Safely Experience of managing/working with a team of 10, disciplinary, job reviews. Completing inspections, downtown reports etc. Terms £14 - £15 per hour O/T 1.5 – Monday to Saturday, x 2 Sunday 06.00 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 06.00 – 15.45 Friday.
