The position requires someone ready to step into a 3rd line engineer position within the next 12-24 months and someone who is used to working in a demanding, service-oriented environment that is growing at a fast pace.
The role includes:
1. Acting as 2nd line technical helpdesk support to external customers, internal staff, and systems and hosting environment.
2. Support of Windows Server Operating Systems and Server applications including Exchange, SQL Server, and IT Security products on internal and Customer systems.
3. Support of virtualisation infrastructure.
4. Support of network infrastructure.
5. Server maintenance and upgrades.
6. Server and client security configuration.
Skills / Experience
1. Experience and good working knowledge of Microsoft Server/Client products.
2. PC/Server Hardware.
3. Good knowledge of computer network system protocols, IP addressing, and TCP/IP networking.
4. IT Security Products.
5. Ability to travel occasionally to client sites.
