They are also responsible for the identification of obsolescence in the equipment, identifying where there is vulnerability, and proposing counter activities (e.g. Critical Spares parts) and executing projects in this field. Reliability Engineer Skills Ensuring capture and analysis of maintenance data and equipment work histories to provide recommendations. Lead and develop Maintenance Team Engineers. Assist with reactive plant breakdowns as required. Reviewing and analyzing data from the CMMS Reports and Operator routes. Leading Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts for incidents triggered by documented procedures, or at the request of the Maintenance Team. Leading disciplined and systematic equipment maintenance strategy development efforts Participating the Monthly Engineering KPI review of equipment "bad actors" creating action plans for increasing reliability and monitoring performance vs. plans Identifying Operational and Maintenance changes that will provide the solution to specific process unit problems Actively participating in the capital projects process, including providing reliability input to the wider Operations Group Qualifications/Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience Mechanical and Electrical knowledge and aptitude Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection (i.e. vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography), as well as the software associated with them Knowledge of tools and techniques related to reliability-centered maintenance The ability to develop computer skills with emphasis on condition monitoring software Understand how to drive performance improvement across working groups to achieve high performance Specific Skills and Abilities Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal and external departments Uses an explorative approach to problem-solving and takes organisational opportunities into account Effectively builds formal and informal relationships inside the working environment.
