Your new role
Expectations need to be met from a teacher's standards perspective. Responsibilities for this teaching role include, but not limited to:
Teach Science across all three disciplines at Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
To work within a faculty of nine Science Teachers, supported by two technicians, in seven well-equipped laboratories.
Follow the Key Stage 3 curriculum linked to "Exploring Science," teaching four 1-hour lessons per week.
Use internal schemes with supportive materials such as help sheets, extension sheets, literacy sheets, homework sheets, and skill sheets.
Teach mixed ability or set groups at Key Stage 3, with class sizes of around 28.
Teach students to follow the AQA separate Sciences or AQA Trilogy Combined Science specification at Key Stage 4/GCSE.
Utilise highly differentiated schemes of work and extensive ICT resources.
Teach Biology, Physics, and Chemistry up to GCSE, with groups timetabled around staff specialisms where possible.
