Main duties of the job To provide clinical expertise acting as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) in Primary Care, to assess, establish rapid and accurate diagnosis and make decisions about the best course of action for patients' care, including in relation to undifferentiated conditions. To deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions, using a person-centred approach. To act as an experienced and skilled physiotherapy resource for the service and multi-disciplinary team in the specialism of musculoskeletal out-patients, promoting best practice in Primary Care and ensuring appropriate management within the MSK Pathways.
