About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated SENIOR AUDITOR with a strong background in accounting, finance, and audit, as well as experience working in a PRACTICE setting. This position will be responsible for conducting audits of financial statements, compliance with regulations, and internal controls
Responsibilities:
- Work in the Advisory Team.
- Interact with and manage clients. Client facing role immediately – meeting with companies over £200 million in revenue, providing and learning audit advice.
- Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, transactions, and internal controls to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Evaluate compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Analyse accounting systems and processes to recommend improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and findings, communicating results to stakeholders and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting and finance departments, to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to maintain expertise in audit methodologies and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- ACCA or ACA qualification is preferred, or qualified by experience
- 2 Years+ of experience in accounting and auditing, preferably in UK Public Practice
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team is crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
