Position Summary
We seek an experienced, patient-focused Optometrist who values clinical excellence, is detail-oriented, and aims to provide a calm and supportive experience for every patient. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive eye examinations with a focus on clinical precision and personalised patient care.
* Utilise technology, including OCT and dry eye diagnostics, to identify early signs of eye conditions and provide bespoke treatment recommendations.
* Participate in our dry eye clinic, working alongside our dedicated team to deliver specialised care that extends beyond standard optometry.
* Communicate with patients in an empathetic, professional manner, educating them about eye health and available treatment options.
* Work collaboratively with our team, including opticians, receptionists, and external partners, to ensure a seamless patient experience and proactive healthcare approach.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical wellness advancements and actively apply new insights in patient care.
* Contribute to practice growth by encouraging patient retention and building rapport with Clare & Illingworth’s loyal clientele.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Optometry and registration with the General Optical Council (GOC).
* Proven experience in optometry, ideally within a high-end, patient-focused setting.
* Strong clinical expertise, particularly in using advanced diagnostic technology.
* Excellent communication skills and a patient-centric approach to care.
* Enthusiasm for working within an independent practice with a commitment to quality, not volume.
