An exciting opportunity has become available in the Cancer Support Team as a Cancer Information Coordinator. The role will be supporting the delivery of the Personalised Care Programme, focusing on patient information. The role aim is to ensure cancer information is easily accessible both in print and digitally to patient and people affected by cancer.
Main duties of the job
In your role as Cancer Information Coordinator with the support of the Lead Cancer Nurse and Cancer Support Lead, you will work with the site specific teams and cancer services to:-
1. Understand what information is currently being used
2. Obtain copies of this information
3. Optimise and agree future information
4. Ensure all information is within Trust templates both print and digital
5. Work with departments across the Trust to ensure information is displayed in the appropriate areas
6. Work with volunteers to ensure displays are maintained (version control and stocked)
7. Work with the communication team to build an online information library
8. Support in the development of an Information Hub
